BIELKA
DEEP SINGING FROM EASTERN EUROPE

With a surprising voice common to women in the countries stretching from the Balkans to the Urals, Bielka strikes up a Russian song, a chant and then
moves on to a recitative from the Caucasus, a Gypsy lullaby or a prayer mixing Yddish or Jewish Spanish, one after another.

She brings a deep dimension to the simplest melodies. Bielka likes to end her concerts with a french song in homage to France, the country that took in her grandfather, a jewish tailor from Russia.

A moment of great excitement !

In trio, quartet oR sextet Bielka takes us from black sea to white sea…

Press
"Never not understood words by 99 % of the spectators aroused such an emotion : in Russian or in Yiddish, the singer held in her warm voice both poles of the life of the sailor : nostalgia for what he leaves and noisy enjoyment of the recouvrance."
"Bielka rose on stage. Her surprising and lively voice took the public in a saraband of applauses and shared rhythms. From Russian singing to Yiddish, gypsy music to Caucasian, she amazed by her energy and her talent. (…)
The head full of new and surprising sounds, the public is unanimous: she left to all a very particular impression of awake dreams and cultural disorientation."
OUEST FRANCE

"Bielka, red-haired person of fairy tales in the golden dresses, the pass from Russian to the Yiddish of a pure voice in the lineage of Barbara Streisand." LIBÉRATION

"Difficult not to fall under the charm of Bielka, as which the deep and moving voice serves a directory of a big wealth. Thanks to her, and to the artists who accompany her, the emotion is present each concert." France Soir
